Job Description:
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Data Analyst will work closely with our Product & Engineering teams, Patient Solutions, Population Health, and our Sales and Marketing teams. They will own data processes from transformations to communications. Transform complex healthcare data, including claims and program data, into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. This critical role bridges the gap between healthcare and data analysis in order to build out our health metric reporting and data processes, driving decision-making at the operational level, improving our platform, and demonstrating program and clinical outcomes to health plan clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Actively participates in large group discussions
  • Transform data as needed for visualization
  • Develop and implement novel metrics and aggregations related to healthcare claims and program data, including program status, operational metrics, and medication trends.
  • Build data visualizations by translating findings into clear, concise dashboards, effectively communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Foster communication and collaboration between the analytics team and stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data engineers, data scientists, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of a scalable, secure, and efficient claims and outcomes analysis engine
  • Work alongside data experts, healthcare professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure analysis aligns with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in SQL
  • Healthcare experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Passion for data analysis, identifying patterns, and drawing insightful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex data analysis.
  • Experience with dbt or other data transformation tools
  • Experience with Domo or other BI tools

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Documentation, best practices.
  • Performing complex analyses of big data, including data cleaning, preparing, and interpreting.
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid claims data is a huge plus.
  • Experience with claims databases (IBM markets can, OPTUM, Premier, APCDs, etc.)
  • Experience with data from EMR systems (MIMIC-III, EPIC, Cerner) is also a plus or FHIR Standard
  • Fast-paced Agile startup experience
  • Understanding of healthcare data (Medicare, Medicaid, EHR/FHIR)
  • Work experience with HEDIS, Stars, HCAHPS, or D-SNPs
