About the role

As Communications and Marketing Associate, you’ll report to the Director of Marketing & Communications, working hand-in-hand to engage key audiences, particularly through writing engaging content and leveraging digital marketing tools.   • Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including online advertising campaigns, to find and engage new customers
  • Write and edit content for emocha’s website, decks, fact and product sheets, and other mass marketing materials that supports emocha’s brand, marketing and communications strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of emocha’s presence on social media
  • Represent emocha at events and conferences, demonstrating the technology as needed
  • Assist the sales team in developing proposals, pitches and presentations for potential new customers as needed
  • Draft and review materials to send to customers or potential customers, such as emails and reports
  • Conduct research to continuously analyze the market, competitive environment, and consumer trends in order to strategically position emocha and identify new opportunities for business development
  • Support the development of a Search Engine Optimization strategy and implement changes to improve SEO
  • Coordinate emocha’s presence at conferences, including registration, event signage, shipping, and travel
  • Support the product team by drafting and editing content as needed, including release notes, knowledge base content, or onboarding materials
  • Monitor and report on the efficacy of communications activities in meeting organizational goals
  • Help to maintain a current database of messages and materials for the team to easily access

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Limited travel for events and conferences 

Note: Interested candidates should be prepared to provide writing samples and references as a part of the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CRMs and marketing automation platforms (bonus points for proficiency with HubSpot)
  • Bonus points if you have experience working for a marketing agency, PR firm, or startup
  • Experience managing online advertising campaigns
  • Experience running and evaluating digital marketing campaigns, including online advertising
