Front End Developer

emocha’s platform ensures people stay adherent to their medication or care plan through asynchronous technology. If you’re a frontend developer looking to make an impact in the public health space we’d love to hear from you. As a frontend developer, you’ll make sure the work we produce is reliable, intuitive and intelligent. You’ll work closely with engineers and researchers to build interfaces that are easy to understand and use, regardless of a user’s age, location, and technical savvy. You’ll work within our interdisciplinary team to build solutions that are equally thoughtful, elegant, and delightful.  

As an Frontend Developer, you will...

  • Work with autonomy in a team of developers and designers to create functional and beautiful web interfaces for the emocha platform
  • Be an integral member of the development team, with significant input in the development of the emocha platform
  • Interact daily with business development and design teams to better understand customer needs and desires as they relate to the emocha platform


We’d love to talk if you have...

  • 2+ years of experience as a frontend developer or interface developer
  • Mastery of semantic HTML5, CSS3, ES6 and standard web development practices
  • Extensive experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
  • Extensive experience interacting with REST APIs
  • Experience using frontend toolchains such as Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack.
  • Experience translating high-fidelity mockups into elegant interfaces
  • Experience creating accessible interfaces
  • Experience developing software subject to HIPAA security standards

We’d love to talk more if you have…

  • 4+ years of experience as a frontend developer or interface developer
  • Experience architecting and writing backend services or REST APIs using Python, Node or Java
  • Experience owning the evolution of an existing product from concept development to launch (startup experience appreciated)
  • Strong visual aesthetic, experience creating visual systems, and take pride in delivering beautiful, high fidelity, production-ready interfaces
  • Experience using web analytics data to inform decisions
  • Developed products for healthcare and/or behavior change (bonus points)
  • Experience working in an Agile or SCRUM environment.
  • Experience with mobile UI development (native or cross-platform toolkits like Qt, React Native and Ionic)
